Vera Farmiga to star in new Apple TV miniseries about Hurricane Katrina

Vera Farmiga will star in the Five Days At Memorial miniseries for Apple TV +. The series, written by John Ridley and Carlton Cuse with ABC Signature, chronicles the events after Hurricane Katrina that devastated Louisiana in 2005. According to details provided by Variety.

Written by John Ridley and Carlton Cuse, Five Days at Memorial is based on the book by Pulitzer Prize winner Sheri Fink and will chronicle five days The Conjuring The Devil Made Me Do It online free in a New Orleans hospital after Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana. When the waters rose, the hospital lost power and the heat rose, forcing the exhausted staff to make life-and-death decisions that haunted them for years.

Vera Farmiga will play Dr. Anna Pou, on duty at the Memorial as the hurricane hits the city.

Previously, Sarah Paulson had been cast in the role of Dr. Pou in an earlier adaptation of Fink’s book for the American Crime Story series that later did not come to fruition.

Vera Farmiga is currently busy filming the Disney + Hawkeye series. The next time we see her will be in the horror film The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It with fellow actor Patrick Wilson and in the prequel to The Sopranos, The Many Saints of Newark.
