Florence Welch, chosen to sing the title song of the film ‘Cruella’

On May 27, the Disney film Cruella starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson will premiere in selected theaters. This project, due to the pandemic, will also be available on Disney + with additional access. Before the official release, news about the soundtrack was released.

The 101 Dalmatians villain will now have her own movie, Cruella movie a film that shows her early days and how she became powerful, intimidating and evil.

Florence Welch, vocalist and leader of the band, Florence + The Macchine was selected to perform the title song of the film. The song is entitled Call me Cruella, a piece that brightens up the elegant and dark voice of the British singer known for deep interpretations such as Shake it out, Hunger, Sweet Nothing or Cosmic Love.

From now on we see all the looks to achieve a nomination for Best Original Song at the Oscars or Golden Globe Awards of 2022.

Florence does not come alone for this project. An album of the film’s independent soundtrack is scheduled to be released on the same day as the film’s release. The soundtrack also includes songs like “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone, “Stone Cold Crazy” by Queen, “One Way or Another” by Blondie, “Five to One” by The Doors and “Should I Stay or Should I Go” from The Clash.

In March it was announced that Nicholas Britell had been hired to compose the soundtrack for the film. The sheet music album is scheduled to be released on May 21, 2021 by Walt Disney Records.
